When’s the Best Time to Buy Fitz and Floyd Collectables?

When Price is a Factor, You'll Want to Know This

The answer to that question is “anytime,” but if you want to save money of your Fitz and Floyd purchases then right after any holiday is the best time. I was recently browsing through one of the larger department stores for after Christmas sales. When I got upstairs to the housewares section, I immediately honed into the red and white Fitz and Floyd box. A second look and I found the 60% off sign.

That’s like finding the mother-load to a Fitz and Floyd collector – or wannabe collector. It’s not just the after Christmas when you can find these bargains. It’s any holiday. Along with Christmas, you’ll find Fitz and Floyd holiday collections covering Spring and Easter, Summer and Fourth of July, Autumn and Halloween and Winter (got to love those snowmen).

60% is a massive savings. It makes that $100 piece a very reasonable $40. And with so many options, from cookies jars to water globes to holiday figurines, that can add up. However, there is one big problem to consider. That special piece you want may not be there after the holidays.

That’s what happened to me. This year I was hoping to scoop up the Dear Santa Cookie Jar to add to my collection. It was in the housewares section before the holidays, but when I returned… well, someone got a great gift this year.  That’s the downside of waiting until after the holiday to add to your Fitz and Floyd collection. Sometimes it works in your favor and other times… well, there’s always next year.
